Paradise is made of this! An island resort, surrounded by a crystal-clear lagoon and miles and miles of ocean in shades of blue and turquoise.
This is the place for a real break, far removed from the bustle of modern life, on a beautiful island, full of tropical greenery, surrounded by a fabulous lagoon, perfect for swimming and snorkelling and close to the Maldives’ best dive sites.
Maldives is famous for its marine diversity and especially for its whale-sharks, which average well over 20 feet in length. The country has some of the most fabulous sites for diving in the world and luxurious Diva is the ideal base. The most beautiful sites are less than an hour from the Resort. The boat journey makes diving trips even more enjoyable. Guests set out in dhonis, a traditional Maldivian form of boat, and an experience in itself.
The sea is never closer than in the exclusive Water Villas, standing on stilts over the lagoon. You can simply slip from your own private deck into the water.
The island is 25 minutes from Malé by seaplane - a short journey, but one that you will never forget.

The summer never ends in the Maldives. Although it is warm throughout the year there are slight variations in the temperature during certain periods determined by the monsoons. The northwest monsoon, from November to April is mostly dry with very little wind, while the southwest monsoon from May to October brings some rain and wind. Being on the equator, the monsoons are mild and the temperature varies very little. The annual average daily temperature is between 30.4 and 25.4 degrees Celsius. The average rainfall is below 2m per annum.

We've Been To Paradise
"As soon as we stepped into the Diva Lounge, while waiting for our seaplane to Diva Resort, we knew we were in for something special and we weren't disappointed! After a warm welcome from the Diva staff, we were taken to our over-the-water villa, our home for the next seven days! The villa itself was beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed lying out on our very private deck each night looking at the stars!! A sight you don't see very often!
The staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. We had our breakfast at East - lots of variety and the waiters were always there to fill our cups with more coffee! Season was a favourite for a long lunch and although most nights were again at East, we did try Italian at Allegria, and Noo for a European buffet. No complaints there either!
As each day went by we found ourselves relaxing more and more. What will we do today? A massage, walk on the sand bars and look for shells, sunbake on the many deck chairs, feed the fish, read a book, have another drink , just enjoy our beautiful villa or sit and look at the amazing colours or the water? A tough call! Although there were many visitors to Diva, we often felt that we were on our own. Not many resorts of that size can make that happen.
We were able to share four of our days at Diva with our son and daughter-in-law, a very special time and wonderful memory, even if I did catch the first fish on our sunset cruise. If you are looking for a truly wonderful "break", I know you will love Diva." Tripadvisor Feb 2010 - Mags, Brisbane
