" We went to Legends for our honeymoon and couldn't fault the place. From the moment you arrive at the airport and get into your private car to when you get to the entrance of the resort and drive up a palm tree lined driveway with the turquoise sea to the right - you will know you have chosen the best place. The driver we had was really nice - his name was Dillon and he gave us the low down on Mauritius. As soon as you arrive at the door of Legends your bags are taken away and you are led through the marble reception area out onto the balcony that overlooks the beach and sea. A glass of champagne and a cold towel is provided while they check you in. You are then taken to your room where, in our case, a bottle of sparkling wine and some fruit was awaiting us. I also got a sari in a gorgeous dark pink and my husband got an Aertex top... nice touch.

Our room was on its own cove and the sea came right up to the end of our garden area. Outside are two seating areas, one a big comfy couch where you can sit at night and have a few rum and cokes. And then there is a table and chairs where you can sit in the morning. The room was gorgeous with a jacuzzi in the bathroom and windows that open to the outside. Mini bar stocked daily. MAKE SURE YOU DO ALL INCLUSIVE.

Food is delightful and the menu changes every night. There are three restaurants in total. Beach is lovely, but bear in mind that the beach is not owned by the hotel so there are a lot of people selling necklaces and saris and it can get a bit annoying, so we mostly stayed on the balcony area beside the pool. Drinks are brought to your sun lounger so no need to get up. Staff are the nicest and most friendliest I have come across in a resort -  nothing was too much trouble.

The spa is also fab -  we had a couple massage outside in this straw hut and it was really nice and romantic. We also had a lovely dinner on the beach and got serenaded by one of the Legends band singer's. He sang our first dance song which we didn't expect him to know. Legends knows how to work the romance card!

You just have to go on the lion walk in Casela as it's once in a lifetime to pet a lion and watch them climb trees, We also petted the cheetas which are like giant cats -  they purr away as you pet them!

The markets are great too but you will be hassled. We booked a car with the hotel so we had our driver for four hours for around 70euro compared to 60euro to go on a crowded bus with everyone else.

Bottom line - hotel is fab and if you're on honeymoon it's a must!"
